Vocals out. You in. No one is watching, sing like it.
Your songbook
Songs you have timed are saved in this browser. Load one back and the words are already in place, so you only pick the audio file again.
Party mode
Add everyone who wants a turn. After each song the singer gets their score and the next one is up. Scores need the mic on.

1 Using your own song
- Drag any music file onto the box above, or click it and browse. Works with mp3, wav, m4a, flac and ogg.
- Press Play. The vocal is stripped out straight away, so you are singing over the backing.
- Press Enable mic and allow the microphone. Your pitch is drawn against the melody, and you get a score.
- Use Vocal removal to soften the cut if the track sounds thin, and Guide vocal to fade the original singer back in while you learn a song.
- Add words with Paste words, then Tap to time: press space as each line starts. Save it as an .lrc so you never have to do it again.
Tip: search YouTube for the song name followed by karaoke or instrumental to get a backing track with the vocal already gone. Search YouTube for karaoke versions
2 Using a YouTube track
- Find the song on YouTube. Adding karaoke or instrumental to your search gets you a version with no lead vocal.
- Copy the link from the address bar, paste it above and press Load.
- Press play on the video, then add your words below and tap them into time. The lyrics follow the video as it plays.
- Sing along. Your own singing is not scored in this mode, because the browser is not allowed to listen to YouTube's audio, so there is nothing to compare you against.
- Want pitch scoring and vocal removal? Use Your own song with a file you already own.
the melody you mic off — playback only
3 Getting the words on screen
- Load .lrc if you already have a timed lyrics file. Everything lines up on its own.
- Paste words if you do not. One line per line, and leave a blank line where the instrumental break falls.
- Tap to time then play the track and press space as each line begins. Backspace undoes the last tap.
- Save .lrc keeps your timings for next time.
- If the words run early or late, drag the Timing slider until they sit right.
- Save your timings to the Songbook so you never tap the same song twice. Export a song pack to share your timings with someone else.
- Running a night? Party mode keeps a queue of singers and shows each score when the song ends.
Need the words? Search for them, copy them, and paste them in with Paste words. Nothing is stored here, so you paste them fresh each time.
Why you have to paste the words in. Song lyrics belong to the people who wrote them, so this app does not store, bundle or fetch any. Your timings are yours and are saved locally. The words are not, which is why you copy them in each time, or keep your own .lrc file.
